I stayed for 9:30 and 12:30 feeding by myself while Brad went to get flu and TDAP shot. The doctor's highly recommend him to get both since Emily will be high susceptible to getting sick this winter. Our main concern would be Tyler since he is the one going to school ... but he is actually always the one with the most up to date vaccines. We just need to make sure he is careful around his sister once she comes home.
We are probably as ready as we will be for Emily's home coming. Everything isn't ideal, but it will have to work. My mom will be flying in from Hawaii on November 1, 2010 ... so Emily's nursery/office will also have to be a temporary guest room as well.
The initial plan is to have her in our room in the bassinet anyway. So this should be okay. We'll just push the crib and what not aside in the nursery and are planning to borrow a bed from the Yee's for my mom to sleep on. The room will be tight and cozy, but will have to do.
We've been bringing home hospital baby blankets for Hoku to smell since Emily's birth. She immediately sniffs for quite sometime and then loses interest. Hoku did very well with Tyler and I have no doubt she will do the same with Emily.
Well, tomorrow is still the planned day ... wish us luck!
