10/25

They are still trying for a Tuesday discharge, after the recordable dip/spell, it's an additional 5 days automatically so that would put us at Tuesday depending on how she does till then. So we are keeping our fingers crossed.

With Tyler at school today, it was actually easier for us not having to worry about keeping him occupied while we go back and forth to the hospital.

We took a bit of advantage, being that she is in good hands at the NICU and went for the 9:30 feeding but skipped the 12:30 feeding. I had lots of milk from the night and we were still getting things ready for Emily's arrival home.

Went to Angelo's for lunch. Back at home, I added Emily to my insurance for this year and next. And managed to clean house even more, if you can believe that. My incision site is still bothering me. I wouldn't say it's "sore" because I don't need to take the pain medicine anymore, but it is definitely not back to normal yet. It's hard to explain, but it feels tight and I still have trouble getting into and out of the cars and getting up from chairs and my bed. Can't wait till I am fully recovered ... but California law gives me 8 weeks of short term disability after my C-Section so I am guessing it could take that long, lol.

What I have been wanting to do for the longest time is sleep comfortably on my side. I could sort of do it while at the hospital, but needed to strategically place pillows everywhere just to make it work. I've tried the same thing at home, but to no avail nothing feels right. So I just gotta wait.

We went back for the 3:30 feeding and sadly called it a day. After picking up Tyler from school, the night passes quickly and since I still can't drive myself, it's hard for me to get back to visit Emily.

At least the pumping is going well ... I am still getting what seems to be enough milk for the time being. :)
