March 20 - 26

A quick update for this past week ...

Daddy started his new job on Monday (March 21). This required him to go to training in Dallas for a few days. He flew out early Sun (March 20) morning and came back late Tuesday (March 22) evening. Poor mommy was left all alone with the 2 kiddos for the first time since going back to work. These few days were the longest few days she's had in a long time. Mornings were the worse with having to get them both fed and ready for school, having to pack their lunches, and trying to make it to drop them off and get herself to work on time. Needless to say, mommy was pretty much late for work, lol. On top of being late, she had to leave by 5 in order to pick them up by 6. Fun, fun, fun!

Lucky for wonderful friends. The Murakami's invited us over for dinner Sun - Tues. What a relief for mommy not having to cook. Yummy home cooking to boot. YAY!

Friday dinner - Mexico Lindo.

On Saturday we went to a birthday party in Gilroy. They catered Mexican food which was very very tasty. Tyler had fun painting, playing pinata and playing with the kids.

March 13 - March 19

Mommy knew this would happen. Once back at work, the BLOG would suffer.

Sorry guys! Will need to continue once I get back into the groove of things.

One thing to note. Daddy got a new job closer to home. No more CAL Train and going to the city. Texas Instrument is in Sunnyvale ... not as close as eBay, but better then before.

Mommy is super excited because this means she will now have help dropping off and picking the the kids. Daddy's I won't make it home in time excuse is NO longer valid.

March 6 - March 12

Sun, March 6
Mommy got to sneak away for a bit this morning. Her and Aunty Vicky went to check out a resale event of baby stuff.

Daddy seemed to have had a good day with the kiddos. The maid was there for a couple of hours in the morning.

Mon, March 7
Mommy decided to long into work this morning and take a glance at her email. It was overwhelming to say the least. Next Monday is going to be one fun day of reading and sorting.

Luckily she did take a look. Turns out her last FSA claim got denied which led her to login to the eBay Benefit website. And what did we learn there ... we got NO insurance. WTF!?! How can this be?

We have been paying the out of pocket payments it doesn't make any sense. The representative opened a case to look into what has happened. Not sure she mentioned, but mommy already has an open case from back in February because she believes she has already paid too much. Got it deducted from payroll and then had to pay out of pocket. What a mess!

Ran around at Oakridge - Macy's, Target, Disney Store and Babies R Us.

Moved the desk from Em's room into mommy's room and the rocking chair from mommy's room into Em's room. Ahhh, her room finally looks like a nursery!

Tues, March 8 - Thurs, March 10
Mommy has been trying to make the most of her last week off. She did a lot of cleaning, some shopping, and even some R&R stuff. She was able to fit in a 90 minute massage, a microdermabrasion facial, and a pedicure. Hopefully the pedicure can be maybe a monthly occurrence. :)

Emily has been doing relatively well at daycare. She hasn't been

Fri, March 11
Woke up in the middle of the night last night for the first time in a long time.

Sat, March 12
And the going gets rough. Poor Emily threw up last night. I hope she isn't getting sick. Although I wouldn't be surprised. It has been 2 weeks since she started daycare, if not now ... I'm sure it will be very soon.

Feb 27 - March 5

Sun, Feb 27
Rain rain go away! Come again another day!
Nevertheless, we still had a fun and exciting day. Daddy stayed home with Emily since he went to the birthday party yesterday. Mommy and Tyler headed to downtown San Jose where mommy surprised him tickets to see Disney on Ice!

The show was as always a bit more geared for girls since most of it was about Princesses, however Tyler still enjoyed every bit of it. This time he actually knew more characters since we've been reading a few princess books mommy had gotten for Emily.

But man, Tyler is a talker. Wait we already knew that. But the entire show ... Mommy where did Mickey go? Mommy why are people clapping? Mommy is it done now? Mommy whose coming next? It was NEVER ending! I am not looking forward to taking this kid to the movies. He can't be quiet not even for 5 minutes, lol. Guess daddy will have to be the one to take him to see Cars 2 in June. He's patiently waiting for it ever since he saw the trailer at the Disney store the other weekend.

Mon, Feb 28
Ahhhh, mommy's last day with Emily girl before she goes to day care like a "big" girl. Mommy is excited and scared and happy and sad. Emily is growing up so fast, like they all do. It will be a fun ride to watch her grow up.

We had an awesome day. Played, read, sang, ate, napped, peed/pooped, lol. A very typical day for this team of two. I hope you have a good day at school tomorrow Emily. Ms Azra is very nice and will take good care of you. And when mommy can, she will be looking for you and watching you on the web cam. :)

Tues, March 1
Today was the BIG day! Emily's first day of day care. Mommy was very busy this morning. Getting the 2 kids ready was much more time consuming then she thought. Tyler was a good sport about it though. He has been getting better at dressing all by himself lately, so that definitely helps out a lot. He can do his underpants and pants really well, but is having a harder time with the shirt and socks.

Emily was a good sport too. After nursing, she happily played in her crib, while mommy made Tyler breakfast and packed both of their lunches. After what seemed like hours everyone was in the car and ready to go. Surprisingly, mommy didn't forget anything at home.

Tyler was actually very excited to go to what he calls Emily's baby school. He doesn't realize that "big" kids can go there too, lol. He wandered around the classroom and even talked to the teachers.

Emily's drop off went as well as it could have. Mommy gave the teachers her diapers, change of clothes, diaper cream, milk, and blankets ... filled out her daily report sheet of her night/morning happenings ... handed Emily to the teacher and left before the crying began.

Back at home, mommy logged onto the web camera as soon as she got access ... but couldn't find Emily on it for most of the day. The camera doesn't rotate, so Emily would have to be in a certain part of the room to be seen. Unfortunately most of the infants aren't usually in that section. Oh well, mommy will keep on trying.

Sadly, mommy has to spend some of her time off cleaning up the house. Today she started with Tyler's things. Mommy finally got to go through his toys and books. She weeded out the "baby" ones and put them aside to save for Emily. She organized his toy chest and drawers, which was probably for nothing because give Tyler a week and it will be everywhere all over again.

After this mommy went to drop off what we didn't need at Goodwill. Had a late lunch and then vegged out watching TV while playing games on Facebook, lol.

Emily's pick up went well. The lead teacher wasn't there because she starts at 7 and leaves at 4:30 ... but the afternoon teacher's said she did well for her very first day. She cried some, but not as much as mommy had expected. She drank most of her milk and slept several times despite all the noise and other babies there. WOOHOO! Looks like this will go well.

Wed, March 2
At Emily's drop off this morning, mommy was able to talk to Ms Azra. She said Emily did really well for her first day. The only thing she asked was how long Emily typically took to drink her bottles. She thought she took a long time. They had to warm up the bottle again in the middle because it got cold and Emily wouldn't drink it. This doesn't seem like her ... she normally tanks that thing when we feed it to her. But, it is a new environment and new people, so I'm going to give it a week or 2 and then see if it gets better. Mommy has been contemplating on changing her to the level 3 nipple soon, so we will see.

After the drop offs, mommy went to Target to look for some storage solutions. She ended up buying a new very cool scrapbooking bin drawer thing. Mommy was finally able to start making Em's room baby proof.

All her scrapbooking junk needed to get out of the room or into the closet. Into the closet it went. The storage drawers worked nicely. Everything was now organized and labeled thanks to mommy's new handy label maker, hahaha.

So now what to do with the stuff that doesn't fit in the closet. Or the junk that's was in the closet that mommy took out to put her scrapbooking stuff in there. To the garage it goes! Well maaaybe tomoorrow. Will need to find more storage drawers or bins, lol.

Thurs, March 3
Emily has been doing well at both drop offs and pick ups. No crying in the car on the way to school ... 50/50 chance on the ride home. Mommy will take that. It's better then before when it was 50/50 all the time.

Mommy went to get drawer bins for the garage storage. Still lots to do there. Although after working on it, it seems it would be easier to do with daddy's help. So maybe she will hold off for now.

The afternoon was one of appointments. Dentist for a filling :( and the eye doctor for some new specs. Petco for a new toy for Hoku and then the trek to pick up the kiddos.

Friday, March 4
Yet another Target run this time to get more drawer bins for Tyler's closet. He needs to get organized! Toys everywhere. LOL!

Then Mommy went to Macy's to get some make up. Damn coupons always excludes cosmetics, boo to them!

Yummy Hawaii food at the Murakami's.

Sat, March 6
Hit up BRU/TRU combo store to get free batteries and lucky Tyler got Bionicles.
Had Five Guys for lunch.
Lucky's for grocery shopping.
Leftover Hawaii food and BBQ at the Murakami's.
