I'm so sorry Emily. Your blog has been taken over to be my venting board, lol.
Damn Cricut is broken! I had to be VERY creative when doing Tyler's birthday poster for school. Cricut customer support is more than willing to help. I spend an hour trying to debug! I had to cut the lady off because I had to go to work.
Daddy is in Seattle again this week, GRRR! When is it going to end? Super mommy needs a break!
Mommy attended Tyler's school yearly parent's orientation night on Thursday. Yee's watched the kiddos. Tyler did fine, but Emily made Uncle Clay carry her the entire time! The meeting was an hour. Add in driving time, total time maybe an hour and a half. Glad Uncly Clay has muscles!
Saturday daddy took Tyler for a haircut. We did some shopping, Kohl's and Costco.
This week, I got Em's invitations ready and trying to decide what she will be for Halloween.
She crawls like a champ now and cruises along the couch very carefully. She still eats baby food, but seems to like mashed "regular" food. Mommy is crossing her fingers, toes and eyes that she won't be as picky as Tyler!
Here's to hoping!

2011 Labor Day Weekend
Friday - Yeehaw, daddy comes home from his Seattle day trip! Well, not that it matters much since mommy was at work and the kids at school.
Saturday
Daddy had his class in the morning. What class you'd need to ask him. :)
Mommy tried so hard to make it to the barber's shop for a very long overdue hair cut, but wasn't able to make it. Mornings have been getting hectic.
Getting the kiddos ready, just isn't as easy as it use to be.
Instead we went to Walmart and Michaels to get stuff for Tyler's Birthday Party goodie bags. Mommy's running out of ideas. Next year, maybe
we'll just make cookies!
On our way home from shopping, Tyler asked to go to the Library to borrow some books. We made story time and ran into one of his classmates, Juhi,
who just so happens lives very near to us. Daddy met us at the Library, we set up an afternoon play date with the kids and headed out for lunch.
Dosa Place is where we went and Tyler was not happy. I thought for sure he would enjoy the crispy thin (very thin) sort crepe style bread thing.
But he wasn't open to it from the beginning. Barely wanted to try it and sat there upset for most of lunch.
On the way home we stopped off at Safeway to order his Cars 2 birthday cake.
Nap time was easy, just because he knew when he got up we'd go to Juhi's house.
I would have to say that the Juhi play date was a hit. It was the first time we'd been over to there house, but literally it was a 2 - 3 minute
drive from our place. It was a nice day out, so they had set up some water play for the kids out in the back yard. It was this very cool
blown up slide with an attached pool at the bottom. They absolutely had a blast. Emily hung out with mommy on the porch swing and was
entertained by a few crying baby dolls as she crawled around in the house.
I can't explain what happened next, but Tyler didn't want to leave ... so we all joked about having a sleepover because it was something we
thought he'd for sure NOT want to do. Boy were we wrong and boy did our plan back fire. He was more than willing to stay and practically
ordered us to go home and get his jammies! Man was that a big mistake on our part. We sadly ended up having to carry him out crying
promising that we could come back and play again soon.
In prep for his actual birthday tomorrow. Mommy baked a cake after he want to sleep.
Happy 4th Birthday Tyler! On Sunday morning he woke up in a good mood (thankgoodness, especially after yesterday's episode at Juhi's).
We gave him 3 birthday gifts; One from mommy, one from daddy , and one from Emily. Then mommy and Tyler finished up the birthday cake by
putting on frosting and decorating it. It was cake for breakfast! Mmmmm mmmmm good! (Maid also came)
Later on that day, we took him to Chuck E Cheese the actual location where his party would be. He actually hadn't been there before. At least
not recently enough for him to remember. He played games, rode rides ... almost ate pizza! He is already aware that pizza is all there will
be at his party next week. He says he will eat it, but won't believe it till we see it. He's very excited for next week.
For his Birthday dinner he requested spam musubi and chicken katsu, lol. What a Hawaii Asian kid! So mommy had to slave away in the kitchen
that night, hahaha!
Monday, a day off. You'd think we'd do something out of the ordinary or extremely fun. I wish! We definitely need to change this.
We went to TI. I don't know what it is but it's always a priority to go and get stuff there. It bother's me because it's always on Sunday
when Monday is a work day! (of course in this case, Monday because of the holiday) GRR!
Anyway ... we went for Dim Sum in Milpitas. One of my favorite Dim Sum places too! Typically we are lazy to drive so we stay local in San Jose
which has a few places. They're good, but not as good as up north. At Best Buy I was finally able to get my pink iPad case! Then it was
back to Michael's again more good bag stuff, lol. And while we were out .... Petco, Bed Bath and Beyond, Carter's, Disney Store, Old Navy,
Target ....
In the night, I did Tyler's Birthday board. Sooo last minute I am.
I also didn't get a chance to ask about the cupcakes ... so I just bought them from the grocery store.
Damn i better remember to pay tuition.

Aug 21 - Aug 27
On Sunday, mommy runs errands in the morning as usual.
Kohl's ,Party City, Dim Sum @ Ocean Delight, Bank, and Babies R Us
Monday and Tuesday goes by like a blur. Daddy isn't here again, so it's mommy holding down the fort. Emily is really really amused by Tyler and Tyler is willing to amuse Emily, so this is a BIG plus for mommy right now.
With no time to cook, mommy and Tyler had KFC on Wednesday and MCd's on Thursday.
On Friday, Aug 26 Emily's school has teacher's work day. So mommy and Em have a mommy and daughter day. We stayed home for most of it, but did get to check out
Party City and Michael's. Tony and Alba's is what was for dinner.
Daddy came home on the late flight.
Saturday, Aug 27 Daddy has class now, so mommy has more QT with the kiddos. We hit up the Farmer's market and one of Tyler's favorite restaurants, Panda Express. Then with daddy we headed up north ended up at the Scholastic book fair for a bit, some shopping at Kohl's and WalMart. Then to visit Vu and his family.
Emily wasn't that scared with the "new" people. We don't seem them enough for her to really know know them. But she didn't cry and would crawl around and play. Tyler on the other hand knows them really well and I am betting we could probably drop him off there and leave and he could care less. Hmmm, what an interesting idea. Maybe we should try that one day!

August 14 - August 20
This was not a good week for mommy. She got sick and daddy was in Seattle. Emily may also be getting sick as well. Tyler is actually becoming very helpful. He will now happily get things and do things for mommy/daddy. And he doesn't minding "playing" with Emily. Not so much interacting, but being in the same room and playing next to each other. She loves him so much. Watches his every move and smiles.
Sunday - Em's 9 month pictures @ Picture People. As usual, Em doesn't want to smile for the camera. In face, even Tyler didn't want to smile. We managed to get a few good ones ... This was the very beginning of mommy's sore throat.
Monday - Daddy left for Seattle. Emily cried during drop off, first time in a long time. Not sure what triggered this. Mommy is feeling worse with her nose now dripping like faucet. What a bad time for daddy to be away. Body aches and chills, blah!
Tues - Mommy is now totally congested. Emily also has a runny nose and has started acting crabby. Daddy flew back from Seattle.
Wed - Ortho appointment to pick up retainer and get opinion on Tyler's extra tooth. Tyler had water play day. Mommy intended to volunteer, but wasn't feeling up to it.
Thurs - In service day for Tyler. Flames for dinner, mommy wasn't about to cook.
Friday - Sato Sushi with the family
Saturday - Daddy's Birthday. Tyler helped to make his favorite, brownies. And also made him a special card featuring Spiderman!
We hit up KrispyKreme for some donuts and attended two birthday parties.
Emma's Birthday party, short nap, then Haylie's Birthday party.

Aug 28 - Sept 1
Mommy forgot to mention about her recent surprise gift from daddy. Brand spanking new iPad2! It was totally unexpected and sadly made mommy feel a bit sad, since it was recently daddy's birthday and she didn't really get him a nice gift.
Now, Tyler is a funny guy. Since mommy has a "new" iPad2. He has claimed the "old" iPad to be his iPad. A soon to be 4 year old with an iPad, or so he thinks, lol.
Saturday, Aug 28 we all attended Jayden's birthday party at the park. It was a nice day out and Tyler seemed to have fun, despite not remembering who Jayden was. Sadly we don't see them enough for him to remember.
We then went to Valley Fair to get case for iPad2, but didn't find anything good.
Em was grouchy with a slight fever. Got Advil for her which seemed to help. We think it could potentially be teething.
Mon - Daddy actually here. He took T to school, but mommy had to pick him up. Mailed box to Gma. Mommy visited Sally in hospital during lunch ... since kids aren't allowed in the Mother and Baby unit, it was just easier this way.
For the rest of the week, mommy forgot to jot down notes, so this is all she had.
Tues - Us poor folk had Jack in the box for dinner.
Wed - Mommy had Boston market lunch.
Thurs - Five Guys for lunch with Co-Workers.

August 7 - August 13
Emily is getting much better a crawling. Soon her wish will come true and she will be able to following Tyler all over the house. She currently watches him intently and tries to follow, but isn't fast enough. At least she can now crawl with her tummy off the ground. No more of the army style. :) And being able to put herself into a sitting position is awesome! Her bottom teeth are also in.
Sun -
We took Tyler and Emily to see Thomas the Train @ roaring camp. Tyler and Daddy got to ride the train where there was an actual Thomas pulling. It was very realistic and all the kids were so excited to see him.
In the camp grounds they had various types of activities for the kids to do. Bubbles, tattoos, art, bouncy houses, etc ... We ran into Ben from Tyler's school and they played together for quite some time while we were there. We took a break for lunch. Cheeseburgers is now officially on the list of things Tyler will eat. And lucky for us, they don't just have to be from McDonalds.
Later on that day we had a BBQ (steak and chicken with corn on the cob)with the murakami's at our place. To end the day, I picked up Vicky from airport and got some secret Hawaii goodies. :)
Monday it was back to the grin with daddy back to Seattle. After school we went to party city to pick up invitations for Tyler's birthday party. We invited Aunty Vicky over for some BBQ leftovers.
Tues- momm got Spareribs from Aunty Cindi. The kids are actually behaving and so far making this week pretty nice for mommy.
Wed - We got invited to Vicky's for chicken look fun. Tyler actually ate it. :)
Friday - mommy had a fun day @ Great America curtosy of work. Dinner was sushi @ Sato's with Aunty Vicky. Daddy came back from Seattle later in the evening.
Sat - The entire family went to the dentist. Everyone did well except for mommy, who has to fix a few fillings. Mommy and Aunty Vicky went to the Scrapbook Expo and daddy and kids went to to a Pump It Up birthday party.
Later that evening we went shopping for Tyler's 49ers jersey. There was no selection at Sports Authority. Luckily we found somethingat Target. This is for Emily's 9 month studio pictures. She has a cute 49er's cheerleading out fit! Dinner was Panda @ Oakridge Mall's food court.

July 31 - August 6
Dang, this is really now becoming more of a daily log rather than a blog.
Emily is getting cuter by the day. She reacts to different facial expressions and is especially keen to Tyler. He can easily make her smile and laugh, it's too cute!
7/31 - Babies R Us for baby proofing items.
8/3 - Last day of swimming lessons. Tyler didn't graduate, lol.
8/4 - Daddy back to seattle
8/5 - All hands ebay north. Built play houses. Mexico Lindo with mom and the kids and Shaun and Cindi. Daddy came home from Seattle late.
8/6 - Hair cut for daddy and Tyler. Over due car wash for mommy and Em. Stack's for breakfast. Target, Babies R Us/Toys R Us. Awesome sale on Cars 2 items. Buy 25.00 save 10.00. Returned library books. Had Tyler try slip and slide. He can't really do it. Runs down most of the way and then plops without sliding, lol.

July 24 - 30
We continued into the the following week without daddy.
We all played at home in the morning on Sunday while the maid cleaned. How nice is that? :) Then we did our usual "check out the sale" @ Babies R Us/Toys R Us. Ended up getting coloring pages, Level 4 nipples for Em's bottles, backpack's for the kids with a FREE lunch bag.
Monday we had to ask Aunty Cindi and Uncle Shaun for help with swimming lessons. Because they are back to pack and because mommy has to go into the water with Emily, it is not an easy task to do alone. Tyler kept them busy while mommy attended Em's lesson with her. Not sure they will want to help us next time, lol.
Tuesday daddy finally came home. Yay for help! It's been quite the challenge for mommy to drop off and pick up both of the kids. We were always running late and it took about an hour each.
Friday dinner was at one of our usual places Sonoma Chicken Coop with Uncle Shaun, Camden, Uncle Bryce, and Dante. The Yee's are in Hawaii. I believe Aunty Cindi and Aunty Sharon were camping.
Saturday we had Shiki's at our house with Uncle Shaun, Camden and Uncle Bryce. Hoku went crazy on our visitors as she always does. Poor doggie doesn't get as much attention as she used to.
We made a silly mistake and had Tyler try to wear just underpants at night instead of a Pull Up. We ended up having to change his sheets twice in the middle of the night and then had him put a pull up back on, lol.

July 17- 23
This Sunday we had a special surprise. Aunty Tammy is in town ... well sort of. She was up in Scaramento for work. Daddy had to work, but mommy and the kids made the trek and visited her in Fairfield. We hit up the Jelly Belly Factory and outlet mall. We didn't buy much, but it was nice to see Aunty.
Emily turned 9 months on Monday. For her well baby visit on Tuesday she was 19 lbs 8 oz. She is still around the 50th percentile for both height and weight with her head leading at like 80 percent. :)
Daddy left for Seattle for a business trip. Mommy was on her own over the weekend.
Tyler requested fried rice, so on Friday we went to Fu Kee for some Chinese food.
On Saturday, we hit up Toys R Us and the Library. Then headed over to Ed's house for a play date. Tyler always has fun there. He played nicely with both Evan and Owen (mostly Evan) and Em surprisingly didn't cry in the new surrounding.

July 11 - 16
This week we started summer swimming session for the kids. Yes, you read that right. "Kids" We enrolled Em Em. Our classes are back to back Monday and Wednesday evenings. Tyler is still working on holding his breath consistently for 10 seconds and doing rollovers from back float to front. Em got her first taste of pool water and LOVED it!
Mommy's and daddy has been working late this week. Friday night we had Shiki's at Rex's. The kids had fun. Daddy missed most of it because he worked late.
Saturday - Mommy watched the final Harry Potter movie in the morning while daddy had some QT with the kids. In the afternoon we visited Vu them in Fremont and stayed until the evening.
Em has started army crawling and almost going to the sitting position on her own. Yay Em!

July 5 - July 10
This week wasn't very fun. Em has been coughing and was rather congested. After a quick trip to the doctor on Friday (July 8), poor baby has bronchitis. More humidifier time with some antibiotics.
Because of this, Em spent the entire weekend shopping and cleaning the house with mommy. Daddy and Tyler went on a planned trip to Tahoe with the Murakami's and the Yee's.

June 28 - July 4
All good things have to come to an end. Grandma flew back to Hawaii this past Monday. We enjoyed her visit very much and hope to be able to visit her in Hawaii soon!
Back to the grind. Work and more work.
Fri - Em had a doctor's appointment and mommy brought her eBay for a visit. She did slightly better this time, not crying at the sight of new people.
Tried out the "new" Evergreen Mexico Lindo. Not nearly as good as the one on Foxworthy. Will probably not be going back anytime soon.
Sat - We did a Costco run. Always buying way to many things and spending way too much money.
Sun - We had BBQ at Denise and Jeff's house. Tyler had a blast. They have a HUGE yard with a wooden play structure. We almost couldn't get him to leave.
Mon - Check out the sale Toys R US and had yum yum Sushi night.

June 22 - 27- Grandma Jenny Week 2
We've been having an eventful visit with grandma. Mommy took some time off to spend with her. Can you say shopping, shopping and more shopping?!?!
June 22 - Mommy and grandma went shopping. Walmart, Gilroy Outlets, Kohl's. We had steak dinner.
June 23 - Mommy and grandma went shopping again. Michael's , Dollar Tree, OakridgeMall, Babies R Us. Ate pasta with left over steak.
June 24 - Mommy and grandma took Tyler to Gilroy Gardens. We had home made Spam Musubi's for lunch. And still managed to do some shopping @ Old Navy.
June 25 - We went up to Fremont for Ethan's birthday party.
June 26 - Mommy, Grandma and Tyler went to see Cars 2 at the theater. Daddy got to spend some QT with Em Em.

June 15 - June 21 - Grandma Jenny Week 1
Woohoo the time has finally come! Gma is here to visit. Sorry for the lack of words, but we do have a visitor. :)
June 15 - Grandma Jenny flies in. Same flight as usual. Tyler and Em are both sleeping. Mommy gets tons of goodies. :)
June 16 - Tyler is very excited to see Gma Jenny. He doesn't want to go to school, but finally gives in. Mommy works from home and Grandma gets to hang out with Emily. Mommy made her famous Kalua Pig and cabbage.
June 17 - Mommy had to go to work today and of course so does daddy. Tyler has a father's day celebration/performance so he doesn't want to miss school today. Grandma isn't yet comfy with Em, so today she stayed home by herself. Lucky for her we have internet. I am sure facebook and cityville amongst other games kept her busy. We had CPK for dinner with the gang.
June 18 - Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, Popeyes for dinner
June 19 - Father's Day. Daddy goes golfing in the morning. We go to Kohl's. Pool party and BBQ at Yee's for dinner
June 20 - Grandma and Tyler. Target.
June 21 - Grandma and Tyler. Microwave man. Tyler watches Elmo with Daddy. Ross. Chinese food dinner.

June 12 - June 15
Mommy is counting down the days till Gma Jenny comes to visit. The big question is ... will Emily cry?!?
Haylie started swimming lessons at AVAC. On Tues (June 14) they invited us to dinner at Pasta Pomodoro with Yee's. Aunty Vicky's sister and niece are also in town from Hawaii. 3 girls (and 1 boy), so a similar family to mommy's. All sisters are VERY different, lol.
Aunty Jia likes to cook and invited us to dinner at the Yee's. We had grilled meats, seafood, and veggies which were suppose to be wrapped in that clear rice paper thing. But the kids ate all of the outsides, so the adults enjoyed the filling. :)
Emily had fun playing with girl toys for a change. Haylie has a lot. Hopefully we can borrow some soon. Em is also starting to sitting fairly well on her own. She can't get into a sitting position by herself, but once seated does well.

May 31 - June 11
This week at Appleseed a few of Tyler's classmates graduated from Preschool. I'm not sure he really understand what that meant, but he was very excited and told us that when he was 5 he would go to Kindergarten also.
Em has been a bit under the weather it seems. She's pretty congested and has started waking up in the night and crying. We are hoping it's teething, but we'll see.
Friday night (June 3rd) we had Portuguese bean soup at the Murakami's. Uncle Gordon and Aunty Sharon are back. :)
*A lot of time passes*
Friday dinner gathering at Sonoma Chicken Coop (June 10)
Brayden's Birthday party @ the park (June 11). Tyler is full of surprises. Today at the party he ate Kalbi! Slowly but surely we are breaking him. Soon it will be burgers and pizza, so we hope. Hehe ... at the party he wasn't interested in the bouncy house like the other kids. Instead he wanted to ride the battery powered ATV. Yes, he is deprived and does not have one. He would love it, but too bad so sad. haha!

May 28 - May 30 -- Memorial Day Weekend!
Woohoo, Grandma Jenny booked a flight to come and visit in June. Tyler will be so excited! What a wonderful way to start the Memorial Day weekend.
Our Friday dinner we tried to go a Thai restaurant in Morgan Hill, but ended up at a pretty crappy "asian" place instead. I can't even remember what it was called, but the food was not good at all. We did trick Tyler into eating pork. He had tonkatsu, but thought it was chicken katsu. hahahaha!
On Saturday daddy went golfing with the guys and mommy kept busy with the kiddos.
Sunday was girls day out (daddy kept busy with the kiddos) Sadly we are too old for girls night out. We got in a movie (Bridesmaids), lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, and some light shopping at Oak Ridge mall.
Mommy had the entire family take pictures on Monday. We had the first appointment of the day @ 10am @ Pictures at Picture People. She thought this would be a great time since both kiddos are typically at their happiest in the morning. But Em fell asleep on the way there and woke up in a not so good mood. Nevertheless, we still got some pretty cute pictures!
That night was a nice BBQ dinner @ Murakami's. Steak, shrimp and ice cream. And AGAIN, Tyler at steak! Yippee Skippy!

May 22 - 26
Daddy finally comes home on Sunday. What a sigh of relief from mommy. Super mommy was doable, but not ideal. Working single parents are rock stars!
Emily is still teething. There is drool everywhere and she is having trouble sleeping well at night. She will chew on anything you give her, even her own shoe. Please teeth ... please please hurry and come out.
Her cough from the Bronchitis is getting better though.
It's teacher appreciation week for Emily's school this week. Mommy used her Cricut imagine for like the 4th time to decorate the lemons provided by the school. She didn't do anything fancy ,but they did come out cute. Too bad she didn't take any pictures of it. You'll just have to take her word on it.

May 11 - May 21
Goodbye Great Grandma! We are very happy we were able to visit you this past week.
It was hard to go back to work on Wednesday. Luckily it was a short week.
Em has been waking up at 3or 4 am for a feeding. This is off her normal routine. Mommy thinks she may be teething.
Tyler has been giving mommy a hard time in the mornings. He dilly dallies when getting ready and then cries when getting dropped off. Sometimes its not good when he's out of his routine for too long.
On Sunday may 15 daddy had left for a San Diego work trip. Mommy had to play "super" mommy for the entire week.
Monday - nothing too bad to complain about. Emily went down after nursing and mommy was able to get Tyler to be a reasonable hour.
Tues - Went to an early dinner with the Yee's. Then had the come along to Tyler's swimming lessons to help mommy watch Emily. Emily likes Uncle Clay ... not so much of Aunty Vicky, lol.
Wednesday - Had plans to go to the Yee's house for dinner, but instead had an awful weird stomach pain and ended up staying home and throwing up. Miraculously the kids went down without a fight and mommy was able to get some well needed rest.
Thursday - Brad came home late in the evening.
Friday - Brad went to work and then flew out to Colorado for the weekend.
Friday, May 20 Emily went to the doctor. Poor kiddo has Bronchitis. Friday dinner @ BJs we had to pass.
Saturday - We attended (May 21) Andrew's birthday party in Fremont. Tyler played with the kids outside in the bouncy house and mommy stayed primarily instead with Emily.
No idea if we did anything after this ... probably not.

Trip to Colorado (May 7 - 10)
We took a impromptu trip to Colorado visit Great Grandma Rex and Aunty Bonnie and family. Tyler was very excited to ride the plane. We flew out the morning of Saturday (May 7) and got in late afternoon.
Tyler and Emily did well on the plane. Mommy had her real experience nursing Emily in public and Tyler had his first experience with nausea. Poor kiddo ... got sick from the turbulence and had to use the "barf" bag.
In Colorado our first stop was to visit Great Grandma. She was very happy to see all of us, but extremely happy to see her great grand kids. She had visited with Tyler as a newborn, but this was the first time seeing Emily in person. We stayed for a while ... chatted about the kids, took some pictures, and then let her get some rest.
At Aunty Bonnie's house, Tyler opened up and acted just like he was at home. LOUD and overly energetic. We hung out, had dinner, then called it a night. It was a long day and the kids were pooped. Tyler camped on the ground next the the bed and Emily slept between her mommy and daddy. Such a little girl ... was a GIANT bed hogger.
The next morning, we had some breakfast before heading back to visit Great Grandma. It was mother's day and a special one for all spending it with family. We chatted more and then went to get some lunch. We found a pretty fancy steak place in downtown Loveland and had quite a meal. After lunch we made another stop to visit Great Grandma before heading back to Aunty Bonnie's house. Back at the house, it was another relaxing evening of food and chatter. Tyler and Emily were all the entertainment we needed.
On Monday, we had a special plan for Great Grandma. We visited first thing to take a few more pictures. Then after lunch we went to Target to print out the pictures and put together a little mini picture album. Now Great Grandma would have pictures of her and her great grand kids. :)
When we went back to drop it off, she had just had some medication and was resting, so we left the book for her to look at later. Back in Fort Collins, we visited Aunty Pat's house. Tyler had fun playing foos ball and basketball. It was our last night in Colorado and a fun one at that. We had pizza at Aunty Bonnie's then had to call it a night.
We didn't get to do much the following morning. Pack, breakfast ... and then head to the airport. Our trip was a short one, but one that was very special. We returned to San Jose on Tues (May 10).

May 1 - May 6
Went to visit Evan and Owen on Sunday May 1. Tyler had fun riding bicycle and trying to ride a scooter. He also took well to one of their cousins, Maddie. That kids, just loves playing with the girls. They actually played quite well together.
Emily was a good girl. She didn't cry much and even let Ed and Lennie hold her. :)
The first week of may was Teacher's appreciation week at Tyler's school. The school sent out a brochure on things to do. Bring a flower, make a homemade card... and that sort of thing. It was fun for Tyler. He enjoyed preparing the items and especially enjoyed giving them the following morning.
Mommy finally got to use her Cricut Imagine. With the printer feature, it was pretty fast to make 3 cards. And the came out well ...

April 24 - April 30
We went to Easter (Sun, April24) up in Fremont. Food as always was very yummy. Prime rib especially. Mommy learned that she does not like lamb. YUCK!
Tyler played with the boys and had fun finding eggs again. He was more excited because some of these eggs had money! Woohoo! Of course he spent the money buying cars. OMG, you would not believe how many cars that kid has. And he has a good memory too. At the store he will point out exactly which ones he already has and which ones he is missing.
Thursday, April 28
Today was eBay's take your kids to work day. Tyler did VERY well considering he stayed for practically the entire day. Everyone was very excited to see him. A lot of my co-workers have watched him grow up, so seeing him walking and especially talking was very cool to them.
Tyler opened up quick right from the start. He started calling them aunty and uncle and everyone thought that was cute. After bothering people most of the morning, mommy had to fall back on the DVD player so she could get some work done.
Lunch wasn't a big hit for him. He didn't like their version of mac and cheese of the chicken fingers ... and mainly ate french fries. After that you could tell he was getting tired, but he didn't want to go home. So it was more coloring and DVD watching afterwards. At 3-ish the festivities started and he was re-energized. We at popcorn and watched the race cars, got a doggy balloon, and danced.
On the way home, he fell asleep in the car literally less than a minute of driving.
Emily has been loving her solid foods. This week she tried Oatmeal, apples and bananas. She's also being much more vocal. Although I don't recognize any words yet, I hear sounds. MMMMM is definitely there ... so I have high hopes her first word may be mama. :)

April 17 - April 23
You can definitely tell the laziness of mommy. This particular blog entry doesn't have much details, lol.
There really isn't much that happens during the week. Mommy and daddy both go to work while the kids are at school. Tyler is learning how to write his letters and read 3 letter words. Emily is rolling and can sit pretty well assisted. She is also trying various types of fruits and veggie solid foods.
Mommy has made it a point to try and learn how to use daddy's digital SLR camera. She's been reading up online and hopes to get nicer pictures of the kids.
Vinay's Bachelor party was Friday, April 22.
We took the kids to an Easter egg hunt on Sat April 23. Tyler rocked! His age group was 2 - 3 year olds and he ran fast and got lots of eggs. I think this helped to prepare him for Sunday.

April 10 - April 16
Tyler's spring break was this past week. Mommy and daddy were creative and both took sometime off to take care of him. Daddy was on duty first for Mon - Wed. He was off for half the time, so still needed to work some. Keep in mind he just got his new job, so PTO isn't exactly something he has a lot of.
Unfortunately for daddy, both kids had been coughing so Mommy had him take them to the doctor and WHAM ... Bronchitis!
One her medication Emily was able to go back to school ... Tyler spend the next to days with daddy. Mommy isn't even sure what they did, lol. But Tyler didn't complain and daddy didn't complain "much".
Wednesday afternoon/early evening ... Aunty Tammy flew in from Belgium and Uncle Scott flew in from Hawaii. What a nice surprise. Emily did very well with them. She didn't cry and even let both of them hold her.
While they were here ... we went to the Oakland Zoo, Fenton's Creamery, Olive Garden, Gilroy Outlet Mall, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (the BIG boys), Children Discovery Museum (the kids and the girls) ... just to name the main places ...
It was nice to have visitors. We all wished they could have stayed longer. Tyler was very sad to see them leave on Sunday. Have a safe flight and see you guys again soon!

April 3 - April 9
We introduced carrots to Emily on Saturday. She loved it! So far so good. Doesn't look like she will be picky with food. However, I don't really want to jinx it. Tyler ate everything as an infant and then quickly became picky as a toddler.
We had dinner at the Murakami's on Sunday - Steak, shrimp and scallops. Always good eats and good times.
Week goes by and mommy doesn't write anything
Friday dinner was at Sonoma Chicken Coop. Dante is back from SoCal. He has moved back up here to the Bay ... great to have him back. Tyler didn't remember him, but quickly took to him at dinner.
Saturday was yet another Pump it up party for Ben, one of Tyler's school classmates. Oddly Tyler acted a bit shy at first, even if he knew quite a few kids there. Once he got warmed up he had a great time. Mommy spent most of her time carrying Emily in the carrier. She enjoyed watching the kids run wild. For the most part she was happy. Although she tried crying a few times when some of the parents came over to look at her, lol.
Saturday dinner was Buca De Beppo in Campbell with the Murakami's. Oh gosh! We didn't have a reservation, so we had to wait for 45mins to an hour. A LONG time for a toddler and an infant. Tyler quickly turned grouchy ... Emily got hungry and needed a bottle. Ahhhhh! Next time we will definitely need to make reservations.

March 20 - 26
A quick update for this past week ...
Daddy started his new job on Monday (March 21). This required him to go to training in Dallas for a few days. He flew out early Sun (March 20) morning and came back late Tuesday (March 22) evening. Poor mommy was left all alone with the 2 kiddos for the first time since going back to work. These few days were the longest few days she's had in a long time. Mornings were the worse with having to get them both fed and ready for school, having to pack their lunches, and trying to make it to drop them off and get herself to work on time. Needless to say, mommy was pretty much late for work, lol. On top of being late, she had to leave by 5 in order to pick them up by 6. Fun, fun, fun!
Lucky for wonderful friends. The Murakami's invited us over for dinner Sun - Tues. What a relief for mommy not having to cook. Yummy home cooking to boot. YAY!
Friday dinner - Mexico Lindo.
On Saturday we went to a birthday party in Gilroy. They catered Mexican food which was very very tasty. Tyler had fun painting, playing pinata and playing with the kids.

March 13 - March 19
Mommy knew this would happen. Once back at work, the BLOG would suffer.
Sorry guys! Will need to continue once I get back into the groove of things.
One thing to note. Daddy got a new job closer to home. No more CAL Train and going to the city. Texas Instrument is in Sunnyvale ... not as close as eBay, but better then before.
Mommy is super excited because this means she will now have help dropping off and picking the the kids. Daddy's I won't make it home in time excuse is NO longer valid.
Sorry guys! Will need to continue once I get back into the groove of things.

March 6 - March 12
Sun, March 6
Mommy got to sneak away for a bit this morning. Her and Aunty Vicky went to check out a resale event of baby stuff.
Daddy seemed to have had a good day with the kiddos. The maid was there for a couple of hours in the morning.
Mon, March 7
Mommy decided to long into work this morning and take a glance at her email. It was overwhelming to say the least. Next Monday is going to be one fun day of reading and sorting.
Luckily she did take a look. Turns out her last FSA claim got denied which led her to login to the eBay Benefit website. And what did we learn there ... we got NO insurance. WTF!?! How can this be?
We have been paying the out of pocket payments it doesn't make any sense. The representative opened a case to look into what has happened. Not sure she mentioned, but mommy already has an open case from back in February because she believes she has already paid too much. Got it deducted from payroll and then had to pay out of pocket. What a mess!
Ran around at Oakridge - Macy's, Target, Disney Store and Babies R Us.
Moved the desk from Em's room into mommy's room and the rocking chair from mommy's room into Em's room. Ahhh, her room finally looks like a nursery!
Tues, March 8 - Thurs, March 10
Mommy has been trying to make the most of her last week off. She did a lot of cleaning, some shopping, and even some R&R stuff. She was able to fit in a 90 minute massage, a microdermabrasion facial, and a pedicure. Hopefully the pedicure can be maybe a monthly occurrence. :)
Emily has been doing relatively well at daycare. She hasn't been
Fri, March 11
Woke up in the middle of the night last night for the first time in a long time.
Sat, March 12
And the going gets rough. Poor Emily threw up last night. I hope she isn't getting sick. Although I wouldn't be surprised. It has been 2 weeks since she started daycare, if not now ... I'm sure it will be very soon.

Sun, Feb 27
Rain rain go away! Come again another day!
Nevertheless, we still had a fun and exciting day. Daddy stayed home with Emily since he went to the birthday party yesterday. Mommy and Tyler headed to downtown San Jose where mommy surprised him tickets to see Disney on Ice!
The show was as always a bit more geared for girls since most of it was about Princesses, however Tyler still enjoyed every bit of it. This time he actually knew more characters since we've been reading a few princess books mommy had gotten for Emily.
But man, Tyler is a talker. Wait we already knew that. But the entire show ... Mommy where did Mickey go? Mommy why are people clapping? Mommy is it done now? Mommy whose coming next? It was NEVER ending! I am not looking forward to taking this kid to the movies. He can't be quiet not even for 5 minutes, lol. Guess daddy will have to be the one to take him to see Cars 2 in June. He's patiently waiting for it ever since he saw the trailer at the Disney store the other weekend.
Mon, Feb 28
Ahhhh, mommy's last day with Emily girl before she goes to day care like a "big" girl. Mommy is excited and scared and happy and sad. Emily is growing up so fast, like they all do. It will be a fun ride to watch her grow up.
We had an awesome day. Played, read, sang, ate, napped, peed/pooped, lol. A very typical day for this team of two. I hope you have a good day at school tomorrow Emily. Ms Azra is very nice and will take good care of you. And when mommy can, she will be looking for you and watching you on the web cam. :)
Tues, March 1
Today was the BIG day! Emily's first day of day care. Mommy was very busy this morning. Getting the 2 kids ready was much more time consuming then she thought. Tyler was a good sport about it though. He has been getting better at dressing all by himself lately, so that definitely helps out a lot. He can do his underpants and pants really well, but is having a harder time with the shirt and socks.
Emily was a good sport too. After nursing, she happily played in her crib, while mommy made Tyler breakfast and packed both of their lunches. After what seemed like hours everyone was in the car and ready to go. Surprisingly, mommy didn't forget anything at home.
Tyler was actually very excited to go to what he calls Emily's baby school. He doesn't realize that "big" kids can go there too, lol. He wandered around the classroom and even talked to the teachers.
Emily's drop off went as well as it could have. Mommy gave the teachers her diapers, change of clothes, diaper cream, milk, and blankets ... filled out her daily report sheet of her night/morning happenings ... handed Emily to the teacher and left before the crying began.
Back at home, mommy logged onto the web camera as soon as she got access ... but couldn't find Emily on it for most of the day. The camera doesn't rotate, so Emily would have to be in a certain part of the room to be seen. Unfortunately most of the infants aren't usually in that section. Oh well, mommy will keep on trying.
Sadly, mommy has to spend some of her time off cleaning up the house. Today she started with Tyler's things. Mommy finally got to go through his toys and books. She weeded out the "baby" ones and put them aside to save for Emily. She organized his toy chest and drawers, which was probably for nothing because give Tyler a week and it will be everywhere all over again.
After this mommy went to drop off what we didn't need at Goodwill. Had a late lunch and then vegged out watching TV while playing games on Facebook, lol.
Emily's pick up went well. The lead teacher wasn't there because she starts at 7 and leaves at 4:30 ... but the afternoon teacher's said she did well for her very first day. She cried some, but not as much as mommy had expected. She drank most of her milk and slept several times despite all the noise and other babies there. WOOHOO! Looks like this will go well.
Wed, March 2
At Emily's drop off this morning, mommy was able to talk to Ms Azra. She said Emily did really well for her first day. The only thing she asked was how long Emily typically took to drink her bottles. She thought she took a long time. They had to warm up the bottle again in the middle because it got cold and Emily wouldn't drink it. This doesn't seem like her ... she normally tanks that thing when we feed it to her. But, it is a new environment and new people, so I'm going to give it a week or 2 and then see if it gets better. Mommy has been contemplating on changing her to the level 3 nipple soon, so we will see.
After the drop offs, mommy went to Target to look for some storage solutions. She ended up buying a new very cool scrapbooking bin drawer thing. Mommy was finally able to start making Em's room baby proof.
All her scrapbooking junk needed to get out of the room or into the closet. Into the closet it went. The storage drawers worked nicely. Everything was now organized and labeled thanks to mommy's new handy label maker, hahaha.
So now what to do with the stuff that doesn't fit in the closet. Or the junk that's was in the closet that mommy took out to put her scrapbooking stuff in there. To the garage it goes! Well maaaybe tomoorrow. Will need to find more storage drawers or bins, lol.
Thurs, March 3
Emily has been doing well at both drop offs and pick ups. No crying in the car on the way to school ... 50/50 chance on the ride home. Mommy will take that. It's better then before when it was 50/50 all the time.
Mommy went to get drawer bins for the garage storage. Still lots to do there. Although after working on it, it seems it would be easier to do with daddy's help. So maybe she will hold off for now.
The afternoon was one of appointments. Dentist for a filling :( and the eye doctor for some new specs. Petco for a new toy for Hoku and then the trek to pick up the kiddos.
Friday, March 4
Yet another Target run this time to get more drawer bins for Tyler's closet. He needs to get organized! Toys everywhere. LOL!
Then Mommy went to Macy's to get some make up. Damn coupons always excludes cosmetics, boo to them!
Yummy Hawaii food at the Murakami's.
Sat, March 6
Hit up BRU/TRU combo store to get free batteries and lucky Tyler got Bionicles.
Had Five Guys for lunch.
Lucky's for grocery shopping.
Leftover Hawaii food and BBQ at the Murakami's.

Feb 20 - Feb 26
Sun, Feb 20
I want to say that mommy's weekends are so fun and exciting that she doesn't have time to write about it. Frankly it's probably the opposite. It must be so boring and dull that she can't for the life of her remember what we did.
Mon, Feb 21
Boo to Holidays! Why are schools closed, lol. Mommy had both kiddos today. Hit up the mall but only a few stores in order to leave before the lunch crowd.
Lunch was Tyler's choice, so we went to his favorite dining establishment, Mc Donalds. The fries are still mommy's favorite.
Later that night we called Aunty Tammy to wish her a Happy Birthday!
Tues, Feb 22
Emily's 4 month old check up.
14 lbs and 6 oz which is 50% for weight. 20% for height and 80% for head, can't remember exact numbers. Poor girl got 4 vaccinations, 3 shots and one oral. Appointment took an hour long! For the rest of the day Em was very calm and sleepy.
Wed, Feb 23
Ugh, tomorrow mommy is going to get another year older. Boohoo! As far as she knows they have no big plans. Aunty Vicky offered to watch the kiddos, but with Emily and her stranger anxiety and Tyler well as Tyler ... it is a lot to ask. For now we took a rain check. Maybe later on we'll get a night out for a dinner, just mommy and daddy. It has been WAY too long since we did that.
Thurs, Feb 24
Happy Birthday mommy! Tyler made a birthday card for mommy at school. And then at home baked some yummy cupcakes and covered them with lots of frosting and sprinkles. Double yum! Then it was mommy's surprise gift ... a new laptop. Mac Book Air to be exact. :)
Fri, Feb 25
Thai Orchid for dinner. It was fricken freezing there. Tyler is still very much a carbs boy. All he would eat was sticky rice and Pad See Eew noodles.
Sat, Feb 26
Mommy and Emily went to run errands in the morning. Hit up BRU, Office Max, and Office Depot. Need to get the last of the things needed for Emily to start daycare on March 1st. How exciting and scary!
Daddy took Tyler to a birthday party at the "Jungle", a fun place for kids with bouncy house, games, ball pits, rides and tunnels galore. Sucking kid still won't eat pizza, so he had to wait till afterward to eat ... I hope this changes soon.

Feb 13 - Feb 19
Sun, Feb 13
Tyler still under the weather. Threw up in his bed last night. Poor guy, they still don't recommend cough medicine at his age.
Didn't do much. Went to Costco and did tons of laundry.
Mon, Feb 14
Ran a few quick errands in the morning ... bank, post office. Then it was back to Tyler's school for his Valentine's day party. The kids had decorated brown paper bags and each took turns inserting cards for their classmates. Tyler was very excited to get his. He made mommy read each one and tell him who it was from.
Back at home, mommy made a shutterfly book of Emily. Tyler has one for about every 3 months or so of his first year and mommy hopes to do the same for Emily. :)
Tues, Feb 15
So so sad. My manager is leaving eBay! So when I go back to work I'll have a new one or knowing them, I won't have one because they take FOREVER to hire.
Anyhoo, I made the trek up to Cupertino for her going away lunch at Hong Fu. Can you say cry baby Emily? She cried for everyone who held her -- expected. And then after she kind of settled down she would cry when people just came to look at her. Now what is up with that? LOL. Mommy had to go outside for like 15-20 minutes and finally she went to sleep. But knowing that she still HATES her car seat, mommy managed to hold her sleeping while she ate her semi cold food.
While we were there, we also met up with Wendy to exchange kid goods. Boy stuff for girl stuff. :)
Wed, Feb 16
Mommy's been going to Kohl's quite often these days. It's one of the only other stores besides target that opens at 8am. Their clearance section has good deals if you can find sizes. Got Emily a few long sleeve shirts for 2.00 and under. Emily slept the entire time there. However, back at home had a major crying spell in the afternoon.
Thurs, Feb 17
Today is Amb's (my manager's) official last day at eBay. After dropping off Tyler, we went to Kohl's (a different location) to kill time before going to the eBay office to say good bye. Emily was happy when we got there, but quickly changed her mood once everyone started oogling at her. She doesn't like too many new faces at once and it was overwhelming. She cried of course when people tried to hold her, and still cried when some just looked at her.
She did let Punam hold her for a bit, while mommy stuffed her face with pizza as fast as she could.
On a side note, mommy's work moved her into a new building. This was the first time she got to see her new digs. 3rd floor, so kinda a bummer. Either take the stairs or have to wait for a slow elevator. Her new cube rocks! Window view! :) Not sure how she managed that when she wasn't even there to choose it.

Sun, Feb 6
Super bowl Sunday! Went to a friend's of Shaun's for Superbowl. They had an awesome kid friendly back yard and Tyler had a blast. Mommy didn't get to watch much of the game and only saw a few commercials ... Emily kept her on her toes.
Mon, Feb 7 - Wed, Feb 9
Thurs, Feb 10
This by far had to have been the most awful crying day for mommy and Emily. Bad enough where mommy even cried with Emily for a bit. LOL! It oddly made her feel better. Despite this, mommy still went to get Tyler from school early so he could get a hair cut. Picture taking this weekend.
Fri, Feb 11
It was another Kohl's morning for mommy and Emily. The rest of the day
we stayed at home in our routine. Singing songs, reading books, eating, napping, watching the mobile, sitting in the vibrating chair, etc ...
Dinner was @ Sonoma Chicken Coop Campbell. It was way crowded. It was mommy and the kiddos for most of the night because daddy had to work late. Go figure, on a Friday! Emily was a good girl though ... mommy got to eat her food while it was still warm. :)
Sat, Feb 12
Our morning at the Picture People could have been worse, lol. Emily although up, refused to smile, didn't let Tyler hold her, and go cranky at the end of the session. Tyler actually smiled nicely and not so much his cheesey fake smile. All was well until Tyler drank his milk too fast and then BARF. In daddy's hand and into the trash can. :(
It was a quick lunch kids down for a nap and then mommy was off to her first pampering in months ... an overdue hair cut and high light! WOOHOO!
To follow a lazy night at home with a Slice of new york pizza at our place with the Murakami's and Yee's.

Say Cheese!
Mommy's been shamefully spending her free time playing games on Facebook, lol. She was finally able to pull herself away to upload and organize some pictures of Emily. Boy how she has changed since birth.
Feel free to take a look. She tried to put them where they should have gone, so you'll have to check back in older posts. But don't you worry, she labeled them with "pictures" in the title. With the exception of the Xmas pictures which are in the Xmas entry.

Emily Woke up like a screaming banshee for on apparent reason this morning. She cried and whaled for a good 15 - 20 minutes. We did everything to soothe her but nothing worked. We have no idea what was wrong. After settling down, she went back to sleep. Very weird.
After such a rough morning we were a bit afraid to go out today. However we did opt for Dim Sum in Milpitas with the Murakami's. Emily didn't cry, but did make daddy hold her the entire time.
Afternoon naps where then in order ... and Uncle Shaun came over to watch the Pro Bowl later that evening. Yummy oily and greasy cheese steaks for dinner.
Mon, Jan 31
At this rate mommy should just give up writing the blog, hehe. She's attempting a daily one while out on maternity leave, but soon will do weekly once she has to go back to work (March 14).
Tues, Feb 1
Ah, the best month of the year is upon us. It has the least number of days, Valentine's day and mommy's birthday! :)
Wed, Feb 2
The day comes and goes without mommy coming here.
Thurs, Feb 3
Happy Chinese New Year! Mommy was going to attempt to make won ton soup today. Even bought the won ton wrappers at Mitsuwa, but got lazy....
Fri, Feb 4
Holy moly, can you say crabby patty? It was awful. The crying, the eating, the sleeping ... you name it. Could not figure out what was wrong.
Sat, Feb 5
Lately Emily has been having more crying spells then before. Oddly the colic is suppose to get better as she gets older. Mommy thinks it's getting worse. BOO!

March 27 - April 2
Yippee Skippy! We finally had some nice warm weather this week. Warm enough to send both the kids to school in shorts!
Baby Emily is becoming a big girl. Ms Azra said she started rolling over from back to front this week. And once she does, she realizes she's on her tummy and gets upset. Poor little girl still hates tummy time despite daycare practicing with her every day.
Because of the nice weather we were also able to go walking as a family unit including Hoku. Tyler had fun riding his bike "fast".
Friday dinner at Applebee's
Sat (April 2) was her first day eating solids. Well not solids solids, but very soupy rice cereal, lol.
Went up to Fremont and Visited Vu guys also.

Jan 23 - Jan 29
Sun, Jan 23
Went to visit Vu guys up in Fremont. Tyler always enjoys going there. He gets along rather well with Andrew and more or less with Ethan. We got there in time for a Pizza lunch and stayed until a Thai dinner. Emily was a champ. She didn't fuss much as long as she was kept well fed. She lets other people hold her for short periods of time. A lot of times, she actually just likes to lay down while you interact with her.
Mon, Jan 24
*time passes*
Tues, Jan 25
There is a site where you can get tidbit facts about your birthday. We ordered on for Tyler and have it hanging in his room, so today I decided to order one for Emily. Sadly, she still doesn't have a room room yet. Mommy still takes up 30% of the space with a desk, computer stuff, and scrapbooking stuff. One of these days, lol.
Wed, Jan 26
Stopped by the hospital today to finally drop off the newborn clothes at the NICU. Swung by Ante and saw Michelle and Wendy. :)
Daily outing was Kohl's today with lunch at Inn n Out. Then it was off to dinner at the Yee's for what I believe they called Bun Rieu. It was a noodle soup that was pretty tastey.
Thurs, Jan 27
Emily screamed all the way to Tyler's school this morning. Mommy took her out and carried her to drop Tyler off and calm her down. Then she screamed the entire way back home.
This lead to a not so great day. Lots of fussing and didn't want to nap. Mommy spent a lot of time soothing and carrying her.
Fri, Jan 28
Daily outing was Ross today. Mommy found a few tops for work and a transformer for Tyler. Surprisingly, nothing for Emily. She did much better today, thank goodness.
Dinner was Popeyes with musubi's@ Murakami's. Tyler loves going there. Uncle Shaun plays with him... hahahaha.
Sat, Jan 29
Ran errands today. Hit up Morgan Hill Target and got new work shoes at DSW. We tried this random Hawaiian food place which wasn't too bad. The food was good, but compared to L&L the portions were small and over priced.
Murakami's came over for Emporer Norton's pizza and pasta. Camden wasn't having a good night, so the basically came to eat and then quickly left. Tyler waited all day for them to come, so when the left early he cried. Poor guy! He did cheer up after watching Madagascar.

Jan 18 - Jan 22
Tues, Jan 18
Slowly attempting to get Emily back on a schedule. She can more or less last a minimum of 3 hours between feedings during the day now. After eating she typically stays up for an hour or 2. Mommy entertains her as much as she can ... reading books, playing peek a boo, playing with all her animals that sing and make noises, riding in her swing, sitting in her chair, tummy time, the play gym, etc ...
After that she'll be tired and ready for a short nap. Putting her down for it varies, sometimes she's ready and will soothe herself to sleep while other times mommy holds her for a bit to get drowsy and then puts her down.
She'll sleep for a bit and wake up hungry and it starts all over again. When mommy needs to do things, after Emily's feeding we go out. It's a crap shoot whether or not Emily will enjoy it. Mommy has come to realize that she does NOT like being in the car seat regardless of if she is driving or pushing the stroller. So the best bet is if she is sound asleep.
Today mommy spent a lot of time on the computer catching up with picture and video uploads. Damn youtube has been sucking it up. Kept getting this generic error.
Also got more games on the iPad for Tyler, hehe. Keeps him busy and a lot of the are even educational.
Tyler had swimming and is doing much much better. Kalua Pig and cabbage for dinner.
Wed, Jan 19
OMG, Emily went 8 hours between her feeding last night. This = a good nights rest for mommy! (with the exception of one pumping session)
Daddy took a PTO day today to help mommy get the Mazda in for fixing. Back rear bumper is going to be replaced from when the lady hit us in the Target parking lot.
While daddy was home, mommy got him to come with her to tour 2 daycare centers. And guess what? We found one we liked! Hip Hip Hooray! Mommy had toured last week also and we still had ones from back in Tyler's day in mind. So out of 6 ... finding one is pretty darn good. We're gonna fill out the paper work and submit it ASAP to hold her spot for March 1.
Had Erik's sandwich for lunch before daddy's secret meeting. :)
Thurs, Jan 20
Emily has been Coo coo and more cooing. It is so cute! And not as random anymore. Now she responds to when I talk to her as if we are having a conversation. Same with smiling. She generally will smile back if she is in a good mood.
Mommy took her shopping at Babies R US and Target today. She was a good sport and didn't fuss!
Fri, Jan 21
Hit up Kohl's this morning and took a well needed nap today.
Had dinner at Pho My with the Murakami's.
Sat, Jan 22
Today the maid came in the morning. We did our normal thing where we hang out downstairs when they are up stairs and up stairs when they are down stairs, lol. Red Lobster for lunch, Thai Orchid at the Murakami's for dinner. Noticed that Em getting GOOD at thumb sucking and can now soothed herself to sleep by doing so. We've been trying to lay her in the crib awake to test this. And it works maybe 25% of the time so far.

Jan 17 - Emily is 3 months old
Happy 3 month old Emily!
Today Tyler was off from school and daddy was not off from work, so mommy had both kids. We ended up meeting Aunty Vicky and Haylie at the Silver Creek Bouncy House. Aunty and mommy took turns bouncing and watching Emily. The kids had lots of fun.
Then it was McDonalds for them and cheese steaks for us. YUMMY! They played for a while at our house before it was time for a very late nap.
Emily was a good sport. I think she enjoys being out and seeing new things. She stays up for much longer stretches now and likes being carried facing outwards so she can see. Everyone comments on her chubby cheeks, lol.

Jan 9 - Jan 16
Sun, Jan 9
Went to valley fair. Emily was a very good girl that "day". She slept for most of the time while we were out. Mommy finally got to do the last of the Christmas gift exchanges. Emily got a lot of 0-3 month clothing, but has already started out growing them ... so mommy had to go to several places to get bigger sizes. She is definitely much bigger then Tyler was at that age.
Speaking of Tyler, he totally amazed us several times today. First, he tried the mandarin chicken at Panda Express and liked it. Then he ate a peanut butter sandwich, something he hasn't done since he was 2. And finally he tried mac and cheese and said it was YUMMY!
After nap, mommy and Tyler went to Michael's and Lucky. Mommy was very sad that she missed an awesome sale on Cricut Cartridges. The sale was still on, but all the good stuff was gone. *sigh*
Emily had a rough night. I'd hate to think she still has her nights and days mixed up, but she's been having a hard time going to bed at a reasonable time. We don't quite have a schedule for her as her colic/gas makes her feeding to be on demand ... but man 12am she was still up. Poor mommy feeding her while daddy and Tyler snored away.
Mon, Jan 10
Daddy went into work early today.
Steak for dinner
Tues, Jan 11
Daddy worked from home today. :)
Emily absolutely hates tummy time. Only after a few minutes she gets super frustrated and starts rubbing her face on the blanket or hand. Then the crying starts and she sounds really unhappy. C'mon Emily you can do it!
Wed, Jan 12
Started researching daycares/schools online today. Sadly there are not an ample amount of choices in the area/price range that mommy is looking for that accepts infants. A lot of places are more geared for preschool and will start at the age of 2. For a moment we considered a nanny coming to the house, but with Hoku it is more of a hassle to find someone who likes dogs and is comfortable enough to have her around while watching Emily.
Emily will have to go starting in March since that's when mommy has to return to work. :( Something mommy is definitely NOT looking forward too.
Thurs, Jan 13
Toured Creative Habitat today. It's a much smaller facility then the one Tyler attended as an infant. I think it can only have like 50 students where as the other one can have like 300. So definitely a BIG difference. The philosophies and practices are good, but the rooms and playground are super tiny. It didn't look like enough space for the kids. I suppose could work if we needed it to. But mommy plans to check out a few more places next week.
Fri, Jan 14
We went to Mexico Lindo for dinner and Tyler still loves the Mariachi Band. On a random note, Emily loves to make bubbles and has started to coo a lot when talked too.
Sat, Jan 15
We all had dentist appointments this morning. Tyler was rather excited and did VERY well. He sat in the chair all by himself and let them take x-rays and fully clean his teeth. What a big boy he is becoming. Emily slept in the beginning and mommy held her towards the end. Only mommy has to go back to get a filling redone. Boo to that!
After Tyler's favorite meal at McDonalds it was nap time. Tyler still fights it every single day. I have no idea how he does so well at school. The teacher's say he lays down and sleeps well. *sigh*
Then it was a quick trip to Costco for some steaks and we had a mini BBQ at the Murakami's. Remember that BIG boy I was talking about? Well, Tyler tried steak for the very first time! He said it was yummy and even ate a 2nd piece, so we are making some progress with his food pickiness. This could be the start of a brand new world for him.

Jan 2 - Jan 8
Sun, Jan 2
I am going to guess we stayed home, but don't quote me on it. :)
Mon, Jan 3
Yay, Tyler didn't cry. Mommy thinks it was a miracle that Tyler did not cry today when she dropped him off at school today. Normally after a long break such as this one, he usually grumbles. I guess he's "grown" up in that sense. He was happy and gave his teacher's hugs ... it was cute.
Tried going to the mall today, but mommy learned that she was spoiled by the holiday schedule in December. Damn place doesn't open until 10:30 normally! WTH!
Sadly we only got through Target before Emily got antsy and hungry. Rather then feed her at the mall ... mommy opted to go home where we then stayed for the rest of the day.
Tues, Jan 4
Today instead of running her one errand in the morning after Tyler's drop off. Mommy instead planned to go to the mall after lunch. It was a bit more crowded then she was expecting, but nothing to complain about after the holiday season.
We went to Macy's, the Disney Store, and Old Navy and only ended up with underpants for Tyler. Marvel super heroes ... he should be excited. :)
Wed, Jan 5
This morning we went to Kohl's and exchanged some towels for the 4 Eric Carle books. These were Tyler's absolute favorite about a year a go. We already had the Hungry Caterpillar (but in a board book), so mommy bought it anyway since this was the BIG hard cover one. That along with The Grouchy Lady Buy, The Mixed Up Chameleon, and something else she can't remember at the moment.
Back at home Emily got fed and mommy ate and then it was off to Wal Mart.
Dinner with Yee's at Pho My.
Clothes from Ms Connie
Thurs, Jan 6
Target, laundry
Friday, Jan 7
More laundry
Hung out with Murakami's for a bit during the afternoon
BBQ dinner at Murakami's
Sat, Jan 8
Tyler and daddy went for a hair cut while mommy stayed home while the house was cleaned.
Tyler and mommy went to Wal Mart to do some gift card shopping. Well it was actually merchandise credit, but there really isn't a differences I suppose. Tyler got a few Toy Story toys that he said he didn't want so we returned them for credit and he's been choosing something new on the rare occasion we actually go to Wal Mart. (mommy is a Target person, hehe) The first time he chose a talking Optimius Prime and this time he chose a k'nex race car (which is like legos)
For dinner we had Pizza at the Murakami's. Tyler conned Uncle Shaun into putting together his car. Mental note, k'nex is not as good as lego's.
