Went to valley fair. Emily was a very good girl that "day". She slept for most of the time while we were out. Mommy finally got to do the last of the Christmas gift exchanges. Emily got a lot of 0-3 month clothing, but has already started out growing them ... so mommy had to go to several places to get bigger sizes. She is definitely much bigger then Tyler was at that age.
Speaking of Tyler, he totally amazed us several times today. First, he tried the mandarin chicken at Panda Express and liked it. Then he ate a peanut butter sandwich, something he hasn't done since he was 2. And finally he tried mac and cheese and said it was YUMMY!
After nap, mommy and Tyler went to Michael's and Lucky. Mommy was very sad that she missed an awesome sale on Cricut Cartridges. The sale was still on, but all the good stuff was gone. *sigh*
Emily had a rough night. I'd hate to think she still has her nights and days mixed up, but she's been having a hard time going to bed at a reasonable time. We don't quite have a schedule for her as her colic/gas makes her feeding to be on demand ... but man 12am she was still up. Poor mommy feeding her while daddy and Tyler snored away.

Daddy went into work early today.
Steak for dinner

Daddy worked from home today. :)
Emily absolutely hates tummy time. Only after a few minutes she gets super frustrated and starts rubbing her face on the blanket or hand. Then the crying starts and she sounds really unhappy. C'mon Emily you can do it!

Started researching daycares/schools online today. Sadly there are not an ample amount of choices in the area/price range that mommy is looking for that accepts infants. A lot of places are more geared for preschool and will start at the age of 2. For a moment we considered a nanny coming to the house, but with Hoku it is more of a hassle to find someone who likes dogs and is comfortable enough to have her around while watching Emily.
Emily will have to go starting in March since that's when mommy has to return to work. :( Something mommy is definitely NOT looking forward too.

Toured Creative Habitat today. It's a much smaller facility then the one Tyler attended as an infant. I think it can only have like 50 students where as the other one can have like 300. So definitely a BIG difference. The philosophies and practices are good, but the rooms and playground are super tiny. It didn't look like enough space for the kids. I suppose could work if we needed it to. But mommy plans to check out a few more places next week.

We went to Mexico Lindo for dinner and Tyler still loves the Mariachi Band. On a random note, Emily loves to make bubbles and has started to coo a lot when talked too.

We all had dentist appointments this morning. Tyler was rather excited and did VERY well. He sat in the chair all by himself and let them take x-rays and fully clean his teeth. What a big boy he is becoming. Emily slept in the beginning and mommy held her towards the end. Only mommy has to go back to get a filling redone. Boo to that!
After Tyler's favorite meal at McDonalds it was nap time. Tyler still fights it every single day. I have no idea how he does so well at school. The teacher's say he lays down and sleeps well. *sigh*
Then it was a quick trip to Costco for some steaks and we had a mini BBQ at the Murakami's. Remember that BIG boy I was talking about? Well, Tyler tried steak for the very first time! He said it was yummy and even ate a 2nd piece, so we are making some progress with his food pickiness. This could be the start of a brand new world for him.
Wow! Tyler big boy! Must learned trying things from school! Emily is doing well too, hopefully she'll figure out the time difference and sleep when everyone is sleeping. :)
ReplyDeleteFor nanny, can you leave Hoku outside in the yard? Just a suggestion...
