Finally decided to go light on my breakfast and had cereal and yogurt this morning. Reminder to myself, have Brad bring me cereal ... the choices here are all the bland no taste ones, lol.
Dr. Teagle came to see me in the morning like she usually does. Seems my tenderness was only one sign of things being different for me yesterday. I didn't notice, but after she checked my monitoring ... she said that I had more contractions then normal. So she ordered a blood test to check my white blood count, which is an indication for infection.
I was pretty nervous throughout the day, with the thought in my mind that if I had an infection I would be forced to deliver soon. I was so relieved when the test came back with only a slight increase. It was nothing to be concerned about now, but the would definitely be keeping an eye on it.
I read New Moon for most of the day ... had a turkey sandwich for lunch. How sad that I actually eat much healthier here than I would be if I were at home.
I was pleasantly surprised when a few of my co-workers (Kenny, Melissa, and Diana) came to visit with homemade butterscotch brownies! We talked about my situation and even a little about work ... It was nice.
I had a full house of visitors in the evening. Tyler, Brad, the Yee's and Murakami's :) It was quite a site to see all of them squished in my little hospital room. They brought chicken katus curry ... my favorite! They stayed for almost 2 hours ... I was really sad when they had to leave.
*sigh* at least the weekend is here ... a good chance I'll have more visitors. :)
Sorry I couldn't come and visit....but I'll check on you virtually from time to time! :)
